How to make people desire less

Simplified food packaging, typographically highlighting the unsavoury ingredients they contain to make people desire them less.

'How to make people desire less' – the title for a project devised from a video on status anxiety.
The brief was to use any graphic means in order to help reduce society’s need for the unnecessary.

My concept was to simplify food packaging, highlighting the unsavoury ingredients they contain.
By making the bad ingredients unavoidable, it would make people desire them less. I created the simple black and white labels using a bold Helvetica typeface.

This project was also featured in the book Playful Patterns published by Sendpoints Publishing
